About
About 645 Stockton 645 Stockton is a Nob Hill gem, surrounded by the classic hotels, delicious restaurants, hip bars, and beautiful views that define the neighborhood. Designed by prolific architect H.C. Baumann, 645 Stockton was one of the 120+ buildings he was reputed to have built in the late 1920s. Since its construction, notable artists, writers, musicians, chefs, entrepreneurs, and international guests have passed through 645 Stockton’s gate and cream-colored, “Platter”-patterned façade. In the 1920s, residents would have encountered a doorman, an elevator man, a night watchman, and workers from the building’s maid service – the building retains an elevator, gated access, and on-site laundry, among other decidedly modern amenities.
