CHAF (CONTEMPORARY HOUSING ALTERNATIVES OF FLORIDA, INC.) Was formed in 1992 and has been designated a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) by the Community Development and Housing Division of Pinellas County for development of affordable rental units in the middle of Pinellas County. CHAF currently has 700 units occupied or in various phases of development or rehabilitation with several new projects in the acquisition or planning stage.​ CHAF owns and manages all of their own properties and has made strides towards their goal of providing affordable housing for low and moderate income households. CHAF is a growing team that consists of Property Managers, Maintenance Technicians, Executive Management & Corporate Administration
