The De la Mar is on the Register of National Historic Places. Originally built in 1909 as a hotel for the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition, the building now includes 39 idyllic apartments–most of which retain their original 1909 charm! (Queen Anne Historical Society). De la Mar residents enjoy an ornate foyer with a tile floor, marble columns and a high, cast plaster ceiling. The apartments are typically very spacious and feature hardwood floors, high ceilings, much of the original woodwork and incredible detail. On top of all the old world charm, everything Lower Queen Anne has to offer is right outside the front door: shops, restaurants, bars, grocery stores, and The Seattle Center!
