Boise City Housing Authority manages Shoreline Plaza, which is an 80-unit high-rise complex for residents who are 62 or older or persons with disabilities, under the Section 8 New Construction program. The Section 8 New Construction program was established by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in order to provide rental assistance in connection with the development of newly constructed or substantially rehabilitated privately owned rental housing. In addition to the qualifications mentioned, you must qualify under income limits, have U.S. citizenship or eligible immigration status and pass the background check and screening criteria established by the Housing Authority.
